What do I need to open an account?


You will need a valid drivers license and your Social Security card. If you do not have your Social Security card but know your Social Security number, a second form of ID (such as an insurance card) with your name will suffice. Refer to the Services section of our Web site for minimum balance requirements.

How do I get a debit card?

To order a debit card, you must complete an application. Applications are available in our Customer Service department.

What do I do if my debit card is lost or stolen?

If your debit card is lost or stolen, contact the bank immediately at (903) 572-1776. A Customer Service Representative will cancel your card and issue a new card and PIN. If you need to cancel your card outside of normal banking hours, call (800) 523-4175. The next business day, contact the bank so we can monitor your account for fraudulent transactions.

What do I do if I forgot my debit card PIN?

For security reasons, bank personnel do not know customer PINs. However, if you forget your PIN, call our Customer Service department at (903) 572-1776, and a representative can assist you. A new PIN will be confidentially mailed to you.

How do I place a stop payment on a check or draft?

You may stop payment on a check or ACH draft by calling our Bookkeeping department at (903) 572-1776. Please have available the check number and amount. For an ACH draft, have available the vendor’s name and amount. Stop payments remain active for six months.

How do I start/stop a draft?

The draft must be initiated and stopped from the originating institution. If you would like to transfer funds from American National Bank to another financial institution, please visit the bank during lobby hours to complete an authorization form. If you would like another bank to draft funds out of your account held at American National Bank, you must complete an authorization form at the other financial institution.

How do I get an Online Banking Account?

Online banking is a free service and available on all accounts. Call us at (903) 572-1776 or visit our Customer Service department during banking hours to obtain an application.

Can I pay my bills online?

Yes, American National Bank offers online bill pay. You must first establish an online banking account, then complete the online form to set-up bill pay. Visit the bank during lobby hours to complete an online banking application.

What do I do if I forgot my online banking login ID?

The default customer ID for online banking is the account holder’s Social Security number, and the initial password is the last six digits of owner’s Social Security number. After your initial log-in to online banking, you will be prompted to change your password. If you can’t remember what your new password is, please call our Customer Service department at (903) 572-1776, and a representative will reset it.

Do you offer telephone banking?

Yes, American National Bank does offer telephone banking. TeleBank’s phone number is (903) 575-1776. The default customer ID for TeleBank is the account holder’s Social Security number, and the initial password is the last six digits of owner’s Social Security number. After your initial log-in to TeleBank, you will be prompted to change your password. If you can’t remember what your new password is, please call our Bookkeeping department at (903) 572-1776, and a representative will reset it.

How do I change my address?

For security reasons, we cannot accept address changes online or over the phone. You must come to the bank to complete a change of address forms. Forms are available in our Bookkeeping department.

Where are you located?

American National Bank is located at 301 South Madison Avenue in Mount Pleasant, Texas, conveniently located one block south of the Post Office at the intersection of Madison Avenue and Arkansas Street. Drive-up banking lanes are on the northeast side of the bank with entry from Arkansas Street. Our ATM is located in the far left (Commercial) lane of the drive-up facility.

What are your hours of operation?

The bank lobby is open Monday – Thursday from 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. and on Fridays from 9:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. The drive-in lanes are open Monday – Friday from 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
